DRESDEN PLATE 8 INCHES, 18 AND 22.5 DEGREES
This is a two set Dresden Plate, the narrower piece makes a 20 piece Dresden Plate and the broader piece a 16 piece. Instructions are given for the 16 piece, simply change the numbers to 20 if using the narrower piece. Running from 1" to 8", Dresden Wedges can be made in any size within the range however please note the wedges will have pointed ends.
These templates are great for hand or machine piecing. When piecing by hand, trace around the shapes and mark dots for seam allowance in the holes provided. Use a pencil and Quarter Plus Tool to join the dots for your sewing line. For machine piecing, rotary cut around the shapes, the seam allowance is included. The translucent fibre optic plastic allows you to fussy cut your prints for beautiful star blocks. To fussy cut, first place the template over the selected print or flower, centre as necessary and then trace or cut.

A charm pack usually has 42 x 5″ squares. Cut 2 blades from each charm resulting in 80 blades. Each block uses 20 blades, and a charm pack will make 4 blocks. You can also cut 5″ squares from left over co-ordinated fabric to add. Have fun seeing what works for you.
