CARPET BAG PATTERN
The Carpet Bag Pattern by Aunties Two is a great size bag. Large and roomy, big enough for that long weekend trip away. A great size to take on your weekend retreat or to any sewing classes. There are lots of pockets in the large interior to help keep you organized, 6 pockets inside and 2 pockets outside. We love to keep the project we are working on together and this bag is perfect for this. Easy, just pick it up and take it with you having the confidence knowing all the pieces you need are together. It could also be used for any knitting project, wool applique, hand applique project or even your computer and all the gear that goes with it.
There are instructions for comfortable double handles and decorative bows at each end. The shoulder strap is detachable with a zippered top and dowels instead of wire to add structure and shape to the finished bag. The finished size is 22" Wide x 18" High x 6" Deep.
This bag is not suitable for directional fabrics. The side panels are made from 11 x 2 1/2 inch strips.
